Brave Talk

October
29

It’s getting down to the nasty wire in the Yonkers mayoral race. The other day I received in the mail a barely literate flier from the so-called “Citizens Against Justice,” a thinly veiled front for Sam Zherka, a weekly newspaper publisher, strip club owner and inveterate hater of Republican incumbent Phil Amicone.

It calls Amicone a liar, as in “Fire this Liar!!” and includes two frowning photos of the mayor. Also included are photos of city workers confiscating Zherka’s newspaper honor boxes, which was a dumb move on Amicone’s part. Removing the boxes was done on the flimsy pretext that they were blocking the sidewalks and were a public safety hazard.

And so Zherka is suing the city on First Amendment grounds.

Nevertheless, the flier is a hysterical rant, worthy of parody. “This tyrant and pathological liar has betrayed every citizen of Yonkers,” it says.

Hardly brave, it gives a virtually untraceable return address—a post office box in Mount Vernon.

But the best line of all is this: “Puts the Lively hood (sic) of Every Man, Woman & Child in Yonkers in Jeopardy.”

You’d think that these clowns would have invested in a proof reader for all the trouble and expense they went through to print these cards.

I received the same flyer. Slickly produced, but full of hate and venom. It’s difficult to take a candidate seriously who’s only platform seems to be ranting and raving about the short comings of the opponent. Amicone removing the Guardian boxes was to dumb for words, but at least he has a few crumbs of achievement to point to. Amicone also realizes there is no need to take pot shots at his opponent. It doesn’t seem as if Amicone really perceives Robertson’s candidacy as a real threat. So he has no need to mention his opponents name in any of his campaign literature.

    It’s Citizens Against INjustice. It’s a fake
PAC Zherka has refused to register. He said
on Cablevision News that he didn’t care.

Removing the boxes may not have been a good idea,
but Zherka has been shown to be suing everyone in
    sight, looking for quick settlements.

He is going to have a problem with that Yonkers
suit. One of the named co-plaintiffs is his
own and the indicted Ali Zherka’s sister.

Others are alleged to not even know they’re
on it as plaintiffs. Others are said to be
Zherka friends or employees. Still others are
alleged to be non-English speakers or Section 8
    tenants of Nader Sayegh.

“Puts the lively hood..” That works. Very
    appropriate for Zherka and Robertson.

We SHOULD put every ” lively hood” in jeopardy. And then in jail. We have a plethora of “lively hoods”. The real mystery is: how did they manage to spell jeopardy correctly? From watching Alex Trebek re-runs? Come to think of it, maybe they meant that every “lively hood” should be ON Jeopardy.?

Ali Zherka (later involved in the ‘96 murders at
Scores strip club in Manhattan with the
Dedaj brothers, was with his sister one
night in ‘96 at the China Club. They
sued then NY Knicks player Anthony Mason
    over some alleged “altercation.” She’s
the same one who is now a plaintiff vs. Yonkers.

Ali is a “lively hood,” alright. This Albanian
mobster brother of Sam is right now under a
very serious Federal indictment, looking at 25
    years if convicted.

He semi-skated on the Scores murders, but the
Dedaj boys went away for a long time.

Yesterday, eight days before the election,
Robertson finally opened an “election headquarters.”

Where is it? It is in the law offices of
Nader Sayegh, a close pal of Zherka’s from
    the so-called Integrity Committee.

Two courts found Sayegh committed election
fraud this year when he recently tried to
primary Amicone in the fight for control
of the Indpendence Party between Cavalllo
and that “Integrity Committee,” of which
    Zherka is a member.

Now, just a week before the election, Robertson
finally opens a heaquarters, in the offices of
Sayegh, a close ally of Zherka.

Besides all the campaign cash from Zherka,
plus the attack mailings and commercials on
Robertson’s behalf from Zherka, is anything
else needed to demonstrate who owns
Robertson? No. It’s Zherka and John Spencer.

Look who is name calling. Phil I have read your column in the past and have found mistakes, also in the Journal News by other writers, mistakes happen. I received the mailor and i think its right on point. If making a mistake makes some one a clown, than you must be the bigget clown that lives, because you are a living mistake.!! Go Citizens Against Injustice. and Sam Zherko, you have all these government cheese seekers running in circles. Phil go get a real Job.

  7. THE WESTCHESTER NEWS

These are the same corrupt news reporters that covered up for Jeanine Pirro, nothing you say means anything to the readers anymore, if your newspaper The Journal News gets any thinner, we’ll have to call it The Westchester Times. First off, you guys make no money, you’re a bunch of low lives with big brown noses, with your hands out, green motivates you, Phil, you’ve been lying to the public for years, go stick your head in the sand, your old news, your all washed up, you’re not a writer, you’re a low life. Phil Reisman, you’re not a likeable guy among the readers of The Journal News. Let me remind you, you also said Jeanine Pirro was going to win the Attorney General race, she didn’t. I think you are going to have 2 for 2. That’s a record! Who will win the president race? 3 for 3…
I remember 17 years ago the editor of The Journal News Mr. Hoffman said to me on the phone when I was trying to tell him my story, and he said, hey lady, who are you? And I said, I’m a wife and a mother, and he said, you’re a nobody, and when you’re a nobody, nobody cares, and click he hung up the phone. I fell to my knees crying with the phone clutched inside my hands, and I whispered these words, than I’ll just have to become a somebody, and 17 years later I am The Publisher of THE WESTCHESTER NEWS, you can read the rest of my story in my book BEHIND THE SECTRET DOOR. Phil, you better start having a purpose in life other than living a lie because in the end, no one is there, no one, you stand alone, when God Judges you, and no one can save you, no one.

Phil Amicone remarked on News 12 that Sam Zherka owns a strip club in New York
City, why don’t Phil Amicone, tell the “People Of Yonkers about his ex-friend
Sammy’s club, when he enjoyed a lap dance from a stripper, when he was hanging out
late nights at the strip club, and then he would stop at Rory Dolan’s on Mclean Avenue with his entourage for a late night snack, go ask Phil Amicone about that, a close source told THE WESTCHESTER NEWS.

GOD WILLING! Dennis Robertson will be the next Mayor of Yonkers.

God willing? God has too much sense to
let a devil’s lieutenant like Robertson
win anything more than a one-way ticket out
    of town. That’s coming Tuesday.

That semi-nut job poster above is
Barbara Ricci. Look up the word
“loser” in dictionary and you’ll see her picture.

The so-called Westchester News (does it even exist?)
and Zherka’s rag are being distributed by Scott
    or Marcal b-room tissues.

  10. Ethan Edwards

    You loons complaining about Reisman
are lucky he’s been too much a wimp to
write the real hardball stuff about
Zherka and his Albanian mobster brother, Ali.

Reisman isn’t going to win any Profiles
in Courage awards. Foghorn Leghorn is
    more his speed.
