Party On, GOP!

My recent enrollment in the depleted and defeated Westchester Republican Party (see today’s column) has gotten rave reviews from my new GOP colleagues. They’ve welcomed me with open arms.
Yonkers City Councilwoman Dee Barbato even suggested I run for office. Hmm…How about mayor in 2011? Term limits will prevent the current Republican mayor, Phil Amicone, from running again.
So here’s my slogan: “The New Phil. Better Than the Old Phil.”

No! Run for County Executive and then disband the whole county government and return to the JN. Once that’s accomplished, on to Albany! (the big seat) – from where you can eschew all the cocktail parties and glad-handing, do the people’s business correctly, and still write your column!
I like that “Disband the County Government” plank.
My vote is yours!
Your opponent could use the slogan “we’ve had our Phil.
If Reisman posts from the city dump, as one disgruntled reader seemed to suggest, would he be landphil?
There is an excellent local band called “Keal” that does a
great rendition of your theme song ” Keep on Rockin’”. Perhaps they could play at your campaign rallies. Otherwise
I think you could do no worse then the typical Yonkers mayor, just “awphil”.
