Why I Am Moving To New Zealand

Every now and then, I am reminded why it is that cults are so disturbing. The behavior of the mindless followers makes me weep for the human race.
They have no worthwhile identity of their own, so they must bask in the charismatic aura of their designated hero—a sports figure, a religious zealot, a corporate dictator, a preening rock star, or whoever.
Cult followers are fawning, unquestionable worshipers, who often fork over ridiculous amounts of money to their maximum leader. They speak in code. They cannot relate to normal, everyday people who just “don’t get it.”
These pour souls drink so much Kool-Aid that after awhile I doubt they even bleed real blood. The essential fluid that feeds their brains, I believe, is a toxic blend of battery acid and day-camp bug juice.
In the company of their heroes, they are eerily happy people. Happy, happy. Joy, joy. They are so happy and joyous, they would even consider it an honor to inhale the flatulence of their Chosen One.
I love this land of America. But I worry about its future. To see what I mean, click “here”:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knBNX_evIOo.

Phil Reisman is a veteran journalist and native of Westchester County. He began his career in 1977 as the head copy boy of a startup New York City newspaper that quickly went belly up. Reisman was not to blame for the newspaper's failure, or so he claims.

(((( shudder )))))
I see what you mean. But the Obamites are scarier still.
The only one without a Koolaid following is McCain.
That’s a scary video. And we wonder why Hillary is doing so badly among male voters? The idea that somehow a person will be a better president simply because she’s a woman is something I find deeply offensive. Gender (and race) should be irrelevant as a consideration of who is best for the job.
We’re so conditioned by political correctness to think of the gender gap in terms of who does better among female voters (an attitude rooted in the politically correct thesis that the preferences of male voters are somehow less legitimate than those of female voters) that few seem to have noticed or pointed out that Hillary Clinton is suffering from a huge gender gap among male voters. The latest poll of Democratic voters nationwide showed her with 29% support among men, compared to 60% for Obama.
And that’s Democratic men. Imagine how poorly she’ll do among men who aren’t Democrats, if that’s all she can get from Democratic men, who are presumably more open to the idea of a female president than the overall male population. If she were doing better among men, even if only white men, she’d probably still be the frontrunner. Her appeals to female solidarity, and the fact that she has pushed away and alienated male voters, has cost her dearly.
Many of Obama’s supporters are even worse than some of the Clinton supporters we’ve seen. They remind me of pre-teen girls at a rock concert, just a lot of mindless shouting and screaming. The dangerous thing for Obama is that, like those pre-teen girls, the type of support he has is very shallow and fickle. In a couple of years, when they grow up, the pre-teen girls ditch the acts they loved at 13, and Obama faces the danger that the type of voters he has will do the same.
The interesting thing is that Obama gave an excellent speech today that probably flew right over the heads of some those teeny-bopper airheads you mention.
If Obama never becomes President, he will still be remembered for that historic speech. As for McCain’s lack of Koolaid drinking followers…his followers are too busy drinking Geritol.
That was a great speech, ball. You are right.
What’s the drink of choice for the last Bush followers—cyanide?
Hey, this is fun. I wonder what Larry Craig drinks?
Mee-Hee for Yoo-Hoo. Where have you gone Yogi Berra?
