Golden Typo Awards Are Coming!

Call it a dubious achievement award—the Golden Typos. Every year, we like to recognize the local rogues, rascals and repeat offenders who made news and made us laugh or, at the very least made us shake our head in wonder. The award below was designed by Matt Davies, the Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist for The Journal News. We are now accepting suggestions for worthy recipients. Feel free to post your recommendations.

Two days after the Illinois Senatorial scandal broke in nation-wide headlines, Andrew Cuomo is quoted by Joe Spector as saying: “The conversations between the Governor (Paterson) and myself are private. Why? Because I am the Attorney General. We have an attorney-client relationship.” A little defensive perhaps? Maybe worried about having been taped or of someone blabbing about similar goings-on in the Empire State? Very strange. Very strange.
