Yes, it does.
The Florida city got rid of them. At least they got rid of a lot of them, saving about $800,000 a year. Even the mayor doesn’t take a free car.
West Palm Beach put the new policy into effect after a municipal audit found that more than half the 3.6 million miles driven in municipal vehicles were actually logged by commuting employees. For the full West Palm Beach report click on records-request-robins.

I say, go ahead and GIVE all Yonkers employees a free take-home car.
Only let it be that tiny, gawky, battery-powered thing that looks like an ugly baby carriage, with a sun umbrella on top.
That way, we can all be reassured that nobody’s misusing the things to ferry their kids’ soccer team around, or go on vacation in Cape Cod.
Besides, it might improve their arrogance quotient a bit.
